Greetings from the author of Stealth Dog! I thought this would be a great place to introduce the characters in the book and how the book came to be.

First, Oaklee (Stealth Dog) is my Beagle that I have raised since she was seven weeks old. I got Oaklee from a breeder in Northern Wisconsin in June of 2003. I, coincidentally, am Ronnie, moreover, Ron Phelps. I’m from Wisconsin and live in Madison. I have always wanted to write a book and when my Dad became sick in 2004, I was so upset that I couldn’t sleep and at about 4:00 am one morning, I wrote Stealth Dog and the rest is history. Most kids have heroes when they are little and my Dad is sort of my hero in life having helped me in ways I could only have imagined from the time I was eight right to this day. Without him none of this could be possible.

I have always been charitable and decided that I will try to impact a couple of charities in Madison and make a difference with profits from Stealth Dog. So for each book sold, $1.00 goes to Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (D.A.I.S.), a non-profit organization that supports mainly women and children of domestic abuse and attempts to create greater public awareness for its prevention, striving to make the world a better place. Also, for each book sold, $1.00 goes to the Dane County Humane Society where many pets find homes. There are links below to these organization’s websites and I encourage you to also give generously!

Thanks again for taking a look!
